Our class earned a class party for whole group positive behavior!!!! They voted for a PJ Day:)
We have already learned a letter towards our next party!! Keep it up:) Today was a FUN day!! We had a pep rally, Hat Day, and went to the Homecoming Parade!! Everyone was full of Wildcat Spirit!!!!!
Even Mr. Norton was dressed up for the occasion!!!!:) We started our first US Regions Unit today, The Northeast.
Students have a practice packet in their IPOD binders that they can study from. If you have a iPad, iPhone, iPod, or any other device that can download apps, look up on for the US States and Captials!!! That is a fun way to practice!!! STATES AND CAPITALS TEST IS ON FRIDAY OCTOBER 12th!!! STUDY, STUDY, STUDY!!!:) We learned how to use our school email today!! It can only be used here at school and we will use it to send Mrs. Martin any work we type up!!
(I know have 23 emails to respond to this weekend!!) We love using technology in the classroom. :) Next Friday (September 21st) is HAT DAY!! If students bring $1 they will be able to wear a hat for the day! The money will go towards the Dollars for Scholars Fund (For High Schoolers)
Students can bring in their $1 now until Friday!!! Hartford was full of team spirit today! Mr. Norton had the great idea to get all the Hawkeyes and Cyclones together for a picture:)
Enjoy your weekend!! We have been learning about our government and what it takes to be president. We had our own "Election Day" in class today (voter registrations cards, polling place, voting booths, and ballots)and voted for Barak Obama or Mitt Romney!!
Ask your student about the outcome:) We had a visitor during our Read To Self time today. It was fun to talk to Mr. Norton about the books we are reading!!!
First Day of the NEW Reading Curriulm that is! Our class did a great job of working through our new curriculum today. We are getting to know our routines in Vocabulary, Writing, Grammar, Spelling, and Reading Lessons. This was also our first day of meeting in small groups.
